    Favorite race track?

    Favorite vehicle?

What type of car do you drive on the street?

2. How long have you been associated with 24 Raceway, what brought you to 24, and What are your feelings about it?

I've been working for 24 Raceway for 2 years as tech inspector. But I've been going to the races since the track opened. I think 24 is one of the best tracks around, It has just been dealt some bad hands. I just hope the new owners can make it work and I think with the help of the community it will!

3. As the Tech inspector do you feel drivers and crews treat you the same as they would if you were just another driver?

I wish it was that simple. I lost a lot of friends but I have also made a few. You find out who your friends really are if they respect your decision. Some people think I hold a grudge against certain drivers and that is not true. I try to be fair and friendly with all the crews and drivers before the races. But when the green flag drops I like no one. But after the last checkered flag lets have a beer. There just always seems to be that one driver or crew that wants to push my buttons. But like I tell a lot of people if they think my job is so easy then come try it sometime. I can't catch everything! But what's really aggravating is when you go to a race some where else and a person comes up to you and chews your butt for something that went on at your track. I try to do my job to the best of my ability and some people just don't understand that. If they have a problem then they need to speak to me after the races. Not wait till I'm trying to relax and have a good time some where else.

4. What was the biggest cheat that you have found, worst built car, and weirdest thing you have seen as tech inspector?

Aerosol carb in the stock car class. A hornet that had the cage tack welded to the floor and they didn't use a pipe bender just laid the pipe on top of each other and welded it together and the cage was only in half the car. A modified had the radiator mounted in the back window.

5. As a driver and inspector, how do you take care of business and stay focused on driving?

It's really hard when I drive. I try to clear my mind and not think about the job I have to do when I'm done. I love to race but someone has to do the job. It will be hard choice for me next year. But I'm afraid if I leave then things will get out of hand.

6. describe how race day flows for you, from getting to the track until the lights go out.

It's nerve racking all night. When I get there I'm worried that my scales won't work or I'll miss something on a car, Or what driver is going to chew my rear for something. I feel like I'm on the run nonstop all night.

7. What is one thing in your opinion that would improve the fans at 24 Raceway's experience at the races each week?

I think they should add a special class every week. Just to change things up a little. I think people get burned out seeing the same show every week. But don't get me wrong we have a great show every sat night. Just need a change once and awhile. But I know one thing for sure the fans, crews and drivers are all one big family and there support is greatly appreciated. So on that note lets go racing!!!!!!!!

Thanks a lot Travis, we all appreciate what you do at 24 Raceway, and hope you stay around for a very long time.
