Q and A's with Tim Eravi

Find out more about Tim on his "Driver Profile" page.

1. The usual questions

         Favorite form of motor sports?

NASCAR

         Favorite driver?

Earnhardt jr.

         Favorite race track?

Talladega and Bristol

         Favorite cars?

Camaro and Monte Carlo SS

What type of car do you drive?

1992 GMC 4 x 4.

2. Can you describe how you were introduced to racing?

I started going to 24 raceway in 1993 when I was a junior in high school. I was in auto mechanics class and we built a car as a class project.

3. Can you describe your favorite race you've had that stands out in your mind the most?

One of my favorite races was when I was racing in the truck class, it was between me and Dave Kinder he ended up winning the race but it was the most fun I think I've had in any single race.

4. Can you describe what a typical night at the races is like for you, how you get pumped, and how you wind down after the races?

My race nights are pretty calm now, I use to get really nervous before every race. Once I'm in the car racing it all goes away. I wind down after the races just hanging around and talking with other racers in the pits.

5. What is one thing in your opinion that would improve the fans at 24 Raceway's experience at the races each week?

Getting them more involved with the races, more info about the drivers, classes etc. Maybe give away a few pit passes each week in the stands, because you can sit in the stands every week but I think they might get to see a whole different side of racing from the pits.

6. Which classes of cars would you race locally if given the opportunity?

Sportsman, Hobby Stock, Modifieds. I think I'm gonna drive a hobby stock a couple times this year. I would like to drive a modified once just to see how much different they are.

7. If you were just a fan in the stands which class would you enjoy watching the most?

  Sportsman or Hobby stock.

8. If you were leading the points at two different tracks and the schedules overlapped due to specials how would you determine which race to go to and how would it make you feel?

I would go to the track I liked racing on the best. I wouldn't feel no different than any other night. I would just go race and try to get as many points as I could.

9. Knowing what you know as a driver, what do you say to people who want to drive a race car but never have before?

I tell them to give it a try, because most people will know if they like it the first time they race .Having the hornet class is really good for this because you can build one of them for a pretty reasonable price.

9.  What tracks have you raced on and which track is your favorite to race on?

I have raced at 24 Raceway, Scotland County Speedway, and Callaway Raceways. My favorite track is 24 Raceway, It is by far the best track that I have been at .

Thank you Tim, we look forward to seeing you win real soon.

Next week Rob Chase will sit in the Q and A hot seat.
