1. We all know you are a great modified driver, what other types of cars have you raced in the past? Well I don't know about great, but thank you very much for the compliment. I drove a late model when I first started, without any success. It takes so much funding to run a car like that. Then I decided to build a sportsman car and run at 24. That's when I got to know all the great drivers at 24 Raceway. I ran sportsman for a couple of years then moved up to a B-Mod in 1997. 2. What is one thing in your opinion that would improve the fans experience at 24 Raceway each week? I like the fact that the track gets the fans involved now, maybe they could offer rides at intermission, kinda like they did with Jeff Creed's car a couple years ago. If not maybe we could take the kids for a lil ride in our cars. 3. How does it make you feel to win races and do you ever get tired of winning? No, as anyone can tell you, it never gets old to win a race. The competition is so great at 24 that if you win you have done something. I feel great when I win a race, I talk about it all the way home, lol. Everyone helps me out so much, I'm glad for Dental and everyone that something they work on runs good, because without their help I couldn't do this. 4. What was the deciding factor in switching back to a B-Modified in the middle of the season? Well, after I rolled my car, Kelly O'Haver let me drive his car one night, I had so much fun that we decided to build it back as a B-Mod. 5. If money was no object, what class (locally) would you race in? That is a tough question, all the classes look like so much fun. But I think I would like to try Dwarf cars. I think that would be a lot of fun. 6. Do you only like local racing or are you a NASCAR fan as well and how does your schedules work out? We work on the car all week, you have to check everything on the car. The competition is so fierce at 24 that you have to keep on your toes. I watch NASCAR on TV, and try to keep up on everything with Dale Jr. I work every other Saturday, so Dental usually does the finish up on the car. 7. If 24 Raceway introduced a new class what would you like to see, and would it be a beginner or pro class? I would like to see Late Models come back to 24, they always put on a great show. The hornets are a perfect beginner class. I like watching them race. 8. What has been your biggest achievement and biggest disappointment of the 2005 season so far? I would have to say my biggest disappointment was the night I rolled my car on the front stretch, I had never been upside down before, it was quite the deal. My biggest achievement would have to be winning the first night back out with the car after rolling it. That proves how safe these cars really are. 9. If you had to watch the races from the stands which class would you enjoy watching the most? I don't think I would have a favorite really, all the classes put on a great show. 10. Are there other drivers in other classes at 24 Raceway that you enjoy watching and who are they? Oh man I could could go on and on with that one. Jeff Creed, Darin Boling, David Holder, Kenny Mudd, Scotty Roberts, Chris Leathers, Bob Woodrow, Tim Dawson, Jerry Shoemaker, David and Danny Lorton, Rob and Kristi Chase, Kevin Embry, Jake and Joe Evans, Tony Garner, Jim McKinney, Kelly O'Haver and of course Sam "the man" Smith, I could keep going on and on, I know some are in my class but I enjoy watching them too.
