IN ADDITION TO THE ALL STAR RACE AND CHURCH BULLETIN NIGHT AT 24 RACEWAY, IT WILL ALSO BE AUTISM AWARENESS NIGHT
by Ron Lueck - 24 Raceway

MOBERLY, IA (August 27) - Along with the ssautosport.com All-Star Race following the features next Saturday August 29th, there are a few more items to promote at the Moberly dirt track. This night will have a Back-to-School theme for the Jr. Race Fan Club, with winning names drawn from the entry box for an assortment of school supplies.

Burton Racing teams of both Centralia and Clark are the providers of several grab bags full of these Wal-Mart supplied school items, and many thanks to Kyle, Rachal, Ray & Kim. Kids, be sure to get your names in the drop boxes at the base of the grandstands. Your recent Church Bulletin will get you, the adults, into the grandstand for only $5 this coming racenight at 24 Raceway. Just present it at the ticket booth. It's a different form of fan appreciation. Of course, kids 12 & under have been and are still admitted free. Groups are welcome and the north end of the grandstand area will be reserved for these.

NOTE: For all those race drivers and team owners who have not yet entered the competition at 24 Raceway this year, for this weekend and the rest of the season, there is no track membership fee necessary.

And there's a plan coming together for a 24 Raceway Cookbook. So those of you who have a recipe that is outstanding and you wish to share, please bring a copy along to submit to the gals handling the prize drawings, or pick up one of the forms to complete for your selection into the cookbook.

Now, this Saturday is also going to be a night for Autism Awareness, with information to be handed out, courtesy of TouchPoint for Central Missouri. Representatives from the Columia office will be on site handling this, along with tee shirts and hats being made available for purchase. And a personally autographed ESPN magazine, featuring Carl Edwards, will be up for grabs, with tickets available for purchase at both the grandstand area and in the pit areas. Donations will go toward this worthwhile cause, serving the Randolph County and surrounding areas.

Each of the 5 winners of the 8-lap races for the All-Star race will get their car's picture posted for the 2010 season on the website banner for www.24racewayinmoberly.com . As a bonus, each winner will get a large bottle of Pig in a Polka meat tenderizer this Saturday. Made in Hallsville, the bottles of Pig in a Polka are what's been used for the flavoring on the grilled items in the pit area concession stand, and has had many compliments. This meat flavoring is available in several sizes in Hallsville at Ed' Quick Stop and in Columbia at Patricia's IGA. The ssautosport.com race has been known as the Pig In A Polka races too, in past years.
